Exactly your frame
Most frames come in a handful of sizes and you take the nearest one, then fix it with a stem. A bespoke frame starts with you: your body, the bike you ride now and what you want to do on it. Every number is yours to set.
Your measurements
Reach, stack, head and seat angles, chainstay length, BB drop, head tube length, seat tube length, fork length. Move any of them and see the frame redrawn to scale.
Your wheels and tyres
From 25 mm road tyres to 5-inch fat bike tyres. 29", 32", 700c or 26" wheels, and the clearance to match.
Your fittings
Bottom bracket, headset, seatpost size, rear mech and UDH or bolt-on hanger, brake mount, cable routing. Chosen to suit the parts you want to fit.
Your riding
Bikepacking and bottle mounts, racks and mudguards, belt drive, single speed with sliding dropouts, couplers for travel. If you ride it that way, we can build it that way.

How it works

Tell us what you want
Use the frame designer, send us a bike fit, or give us the numbers of a bike you already love and what you'd change. Not sure? Tell us how you ride and we'll suggest where to start.

We check it and quote it
We go through every measurement to be sure it's possible and will ride well, and talk it through with you. When you're happy you choose your deposit, from 50% up to paying in full.

We draw it, you approve it
We draw your frame in CAD for you to look over, with up to three revisions included. Nothing is made until you've signed the drawing off.

Made, checked and delivered
The frame is made to your approved drawing in titanium. When it arrives we inspect it, check it against your drawing and clean it, then deliver it to your door, about 12 weeks from approval. We can build it into a complete bike for you too.
Options and prices
Every frame is titanium (Ti-3Al-2.5V) in a brushed finish, with the Travers logo engraved on the head tube and bead-blasted on the underside of the down tube. Add what you need:

"Ask" means the price depends on the design: we confirm it on your quote.
Why titanium
Ride a titanium frame and it's what you don't notice that tells you. You finish the day fresher, less beaten up by the terrain. It doesn't rust, it doesn't need paint, and a few marks buff out. A good titanium frame outlasts everything you hang on it. Buy it once, and swap the parts as they wear.

- A 5-year frame warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything is wrong you deal with us, and we deal with the factory.
- No surprises on the price VAT and delivery in the UK are included. Overseas, we quote delivery at normal Parcel2Go prices.

In my own words
When you ride a titanium frame, it's more about what you don't notice. You feel fresher, less beaten up by the terrain.
On day 7 of the Great British Divide, in Derbyshire, early in the morning with the dew still on the ground, the rocks were slippery. I lost the front end on a descent and went over the bars. My fully loaded bike somersaulted through the air. I dusted myself off, picked up the bike, straightened the bars and carried on. Nothing more than a few marks on the frame, which buffed out when I got back.
The most unusual frame I've made so far was a tandem. Then there was the bike with the dog box on the back: we made the chainstays longer than usual to make it more stable.

From a rider's workshop in Essex
I started Travers Bikes in 2012 building titanium frames: the Rudy, the Fat Race and the Bat Fastard. I still ride them hard, on events like the Great British Divide. Today it's an independent workshop in Rochford, and bespoke frames are still the bit I love most, because every one starts with a rider and a conversation.
Questions
How long does a bespoke frame take?
It normally takes around 12 weeks to deliver once you approve the CAD drawing. Before that we check your design, talk it through with you and draw it up, which usually takes a few days.
How much does a bespoke titanium frame cost?
Road race, road endurance and 700c gravel frames are from £1,999. Mountain bike, 32-inch gravel, 32-inch mountain bike and fat bike frames are from £2,199. Prices include VAT and free UK delivery, and the options list on this page shows what each extra costs.
How does the deposit work?
When you're happy with your confirmed quote you choose your deposit, from 50% up to paying in full, and we produce the CAD drawings. The rest is paid when your frame is ready.
Can I change my design after I send it to you?
Yes. We talk the design through with you before quoting, and up to three revisions of the CAD drawing are included. Nothing is made until you've signed the drawing off.
What warranty does the frame have?
Every Travers titanium frame has a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects. The full terms are on our warranty page.
I don't know my measurements. Can I still design a frame?
Yes. The designer's Find my size tab turns your height and inside leg into a starting point, and Compare my bike draws your current bike over the new frame. Our sizing guide explains what to measure, and if you've had a bike fit you can send us the numbers.
Do you build the frame into a complete bike?
Yes. We do full builds: tell us the groupset, wheels and finishing kit you want and we'll price it as a complete bike.
Can you send a frame outside the UK?
Yes. Overseas orders are quoted without UK VAT, with delivery added at normal Parcel2Go prices. Import taxes in your country aren't included unless we tell you otherwise on your quote.
