Michael on the Great British Divide — On the Great British Divide

My dad introduced me to cycling. His family had always ridden, and my uncle and cousin rode too. We took our bikes away with us on holiday.

I managed a few bike shops before I set up on my own in 2012. Now I service and repair bikes, build wheels, design titanium frames and distribute kLite and Garbaruk.

If you bring a bike in, I check it in and I do the work. If I find something you didn't book in for, you get photos and a price in My Shed before anything else happens.

Why

The things I care about

A titanium frame in a garden — I couldn't find a bike that did what I wanted, so I started designing my own. Light, stable, and fine for a long day in the saddle.

My Great British Divide bike in a field — The Great British Divide was my first multi-day bikepacking trip, crazily. Ride all day, no need to be anywhere, and no idea what ditch I'd be sleeping in. Amazing.

A titanium mountain bike in the work stand — Attention to detail. Nothing leaves the workshop that I wouldn't be happy to ride.
