Another day of close racing at round 3 of the Travers MTB Series. You can see your finishing position on the Results page. Check out your overall position in the series.
1 week to go before round 2 of the Travers MTB Series. Below are the course maps for the U9, U12 and Main Races.
As you can see the course is totally different to round 1, the final wooden jump/technical section has been reworked to make it flow better, some totally new sections plus mini bomb holes are back for 2019!
Round 1 was the largest field we have ever had at the series, which continues to grow each year. This year we introduced a women's only race, the prizes are the same across both the men's and women's field, it would be really great to see a few more getting involved, come and have a go, its a friendly, fun race, ideal for your first event.
We have added the option to enter the final 5 events for the price of 4, this will close on Wednesday 8th May at midnight (as will all online entries for round 2).
Last Chance Series Entry
It was amazing to see so many new Riders at the first round of the series yesterday. Many people asked if they could still enter the series.
Normally series entries would be closed after the first round but I have just added an option to enter the last 5 rounds for the price of 4! This offer will close midnight Wednesday 8th May.
If you have already entered individual rounds and would like to take advantage of this offer, email info@traverbikes and I will make the arrangements.
RESULTS for Rnd 1 Travers MTB Series
Any problems let me know, I will send the results to British Cycling on Tuesday.
Thanks to everyone that helped out at the race today, marshaling and signing on. Great atmosphere as usual. Roll on Round 2 in 2 weeks.
Thanks also to our great sponsors DataLynx Limited Parenesis Ltd. Creative Cycling, TraversBikes.com, Nextie UK Lauf
The 2018 overall winners jersey looks amazing this year. These jerseys are up for grabs in the Overall Male and Female and Under 16's Male and Female classes.
Here at Travers Bikes we are always looking to work with and support local companies as much as we can as well as encourage young people into the sport.
When I noticed that local rider Mollie had started her own photography business specialising in cycling, it was a no brainer. At just 13 years old, I was extremely impressed.
Mollie's company "Jump photography" will be the official photographer for the "Travers Bikes MTB series", all photos will be posted on the Travers Bikes website and you will be able to download these for free.
Entries are now open for the "Travers MTB Series 2018"
There are more races in 2018 with under 9 and Under 12 Categories added. The Novice/GO-MTB series will run for all 5 races, plus Kevin Darragh will be coaching, spaces are limited to 8 people. so get in quick!
The main Senior/Under 16's race will return with the usual tight racing.
We are also trying something New! The final round (5) will be the Potash Summer Classic. Normal races in the morning followed by fun events open to everyone in the afternoon.
I have to put a really big shout out to our sponsors who have been amazing again this year, the prize fund for the draw at the final round is already over £5000! Thank you. Fibrax Limited, Lauf, NEXTIE, traversbikes.com and Creative Cycling supplies of the amazing overall series Jerseys.
