Just 1 week to go before online entries close for the final round of the #TraversMTBSeries. The weather forecast is looking perfect 23º and sunny, bring your lunch and suntan lotion...and bike!

I have had a few questions regarding the Dual Slalom. I have mocked up a layout for the Dual Slalom course so you can see where it will be held. As you can see it on the main grassy field (Just a easy gradient).

There will be a jump on each lane but it will be rollable.
No seeding, pairings drawn at random.
Entry Fee is part of your normal XC entry (No extra payment).
You can enter just the Dual Slalom.
Its just for fun, no points will be awarded.
You will do runs (1 per track), Fastest rider goes through.

TRAVERS MTB SERIES - ROUND 5

Race information and entries are now live for Rnd 5 Potash Summer Classic http://www.traversbikes.com/race-info.html

Please check the link, there is lots of extra information...including a Dual Slalom race (included in your series or on the day entry), You can also just enter this as a one off event.

Allow extra time as there is a Classic Car Show in the main house grounds which can cause tail backs.

08:00 - Signing on open for all categories to collect their race numbers - Under 9s and 12s course open for practise
08:50 - Course closed - UNDER 9's go to the start, you will be walked around the course.
09:00 - Under 9s race start (15 mins) Shortened main course
09:25 - Under 12s race start (20 mins) Shortened main course
09:50 - Course open for practise
10:10 - Course closed
10:15 - GO-MTB/Novice race start (40 mins)
11:00 - Course open for practise
11:25 - Course closed
11:30 - Main Race Start (1 HR)
ROUND 5 SPECIFIC INFORMATION

The above timing will be the same as all previous rounds.
Round 5 will feature a DUAL SLALOM! Everyone who has entered either the whole series or round 5 (in any class) you do not have to pay any extra to race the Dual Slalom (its included within your entry). Ride it, Dont Ride it, no pressure, stay on a cheer everyone on.
I have set out an approximate time for the Dual Slalom running and prize presentation, this may vary a little depending on the amount of riders entered/weather conditions etc.
Its just a fun event, there will be no British Cycling points awarded.
Dual Slalom Prizes - To be announced
There will be a small jump on each track but it will be rollable (if you can ride the main course you can do it). There will be a B line for the U9/12.
Bring lunch/food, there will be no catering on site. Water is available from the stand pipe near the caravans.
There is a Classic car event on in the main grounds, so be aware there could be traffic on the main road (allow extra time).
Everyone who has ridden, helped or marshaled will be entered for the main prize draw with around £3000 worth of prizes, this will be done at the same time as the main prize presentation.
The Start/Finish/Car Park will be in a different place, you will enter the site at the same entrance but be directed down the gravel path to the bottom of the hill. The Start and Finish for the XC races, prize presentation and Dual Slalom will all be held here, so should create a great atmosphere...bring some chairs!
