I am sure many of you have already checked out the Travers Bikes website. We distribute a number of brands in the UK because of the conditions in round 1 I am offering a 10% discount using code "Garbaruk2" on all Garbaruk products until the 16th April.
They make the finest cassettes, chain rings, jockey wheels and cages in a wide range of colours. Don't forget to leave a review for round 1, we are current 2nd best cycling event in the World!
Some of the criteria are not relevant to the event (and if you give a low score its does bump our overall percentage down...but do not let me influence you ) The series trophies have arrived! and they smell great! All the trophies are made from wood!
Who has got an eye on one of these? Taken from the the Bedgebury Forest Club facebook page
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME RACING?! We've got the go ahead from our friends at the FE to run our race events on the following Saturdays - May 13th, Jun 10th, Jul 15th and Aug 12th! Stick the dates in the diary now! Usual cats of U8s, U10s, U12s, Youth, Junior, Seniors and Vets. To help our younger riders get into or back into racing the BFCC are going to hold a race training session on Saturday 6th May. Our coaches have kindly extended an open invite to riders from other BC clubs in the region. To anybody who's ridden or raced at Bedgebury before, you'll know how special this is. Let your friends know, and please support the races. They're the perfect way for new or nervous riders to dip there toes in the water, and there's plenty of competition for the faster racers too. We'll post events up shortly so keep your eyes peeled for more info... #boarsonbikes #bedgeburyboars #BFCC
Marshal Help! We need your help with marshalling, I have tried to answer whats you can expect to do and what we can offer in return.
What is a Marshal? You will be given a position on the course marked on a map to stand and to support, guide and shout the odd piece of banter at the riders. You will be given either a radio or phone number to contact control if an incident does occur (this is vary rare). If you either not mobile or dont want to walk around the woods, you can help with the time keeping (this postion is a secondary check to our chip system and just involves writing the riders numbers down or shouting them out as they pass) How long do I need to Marshal? Ideally if you could help either with the morning session or afternoon or even all day that would be great but if its just for one race thats great. What happens in a medical emergency? This is very rare but if something does happen you should make sure you are safe and only then call it in to control, we will have a full equiped medical team on hand to respond and deal with the situation. Whats are the dates and times of the sessions? Morning Session: 08:30 - 11:30 Afternoon Session: 11:30 - 14:30 All Day: 08:30-14:30 Round 1 - 02/04/23 Round 2 - 30/04/23 Round 3 - 14/05/23 Round 4 - 28/05/23 Round 5 - 11/06/23 Round 6 - 09/07/23 In return we can offer you? Half a day...Free drink hot/cold, 50% discount on race entry Full Day...Free drink hot/cold, Free hot food, Free race entry or Free Travers MTB t shirt What to expect

Additional information
We have added a new A and B track dual slalom section to the course, the A line features a small jump plus a short northshore section up and over a tree with large logs either side of the tree. The B line is slightly longer and more twisty but can be ridden by anyone which has no features on it.
All of the features even on the A lines are designed to be rideable by most people with some Mountain Bike experience but to make the race series as accessible as possible there will always be a B line option with no or easily passble features. |
