 Thank You – Round 3, MTB East Series at Betteshanger
A huge thank you to all the marshals and especially to Toby E-Flow Cycles and his family for helping make MTB east Round 3 - Betteshanger Kent such a success! Your hard work and support were essential in running a smooth and safe event. The course at Betteshanger was a real crowd-pleaser, offering everything from fast, flowing singletrack to some challenging technical sections – and judging by the smiles at the finish line, everyone had a blast! Provisional results are now live and will be made final by Wednesday. It was fantastic to see so many new riders join us – welcome to the MTB East family! We hope to see you at future rounds. To those who couldn’t make it – we know Betteshanger is a bit of a trek for some, but we promise you: MTB east Round 8 - Betteshanger Kent, when we return here later in the series, will absolutely be worth the trip. Thanks again to everyone who helped, rode, and cheered – you made it another brilliant day of racing.

We have made the results for round 5 final and updated the series standing. Don't forget it's your best 5 of 6 results, so if you have had a bad round due to illness or mechanical you can drop that and leap up the standings with a good result at round 6. Link to Series Standing  What a difference a day make, the trails are pretty much all dry and the grass is starting to recover already from the start loop! Preliminary results are up and will be made permanent on Tuesday evening and added to the series totals. https://www.webscorer.com/84702... Don't forget if you are doing all 6 races, the lowest points total from a round will be dropped. so if you had a nightmare in the mud, don't worry. Also if round 2 was your first event then you still have an opportunity to score maximum points! Roll on round 3 in 3 weeks.   Just a small explainer regarding the results, these are the lap times from the Elite men's race (Rnd 1 2024). If you press the "Show all" button you can see the individual lap times.
LAP: quite straightforward, each lap in order, lap 1, 2, 3 etc LAP TIME: This is how long each of the above laps took RANK: In your race, this is who did that particular lap the quickest, as you can see, Harry was the quickest on lap 1 and 2, then backed off slightly and Kieran was quickest on lap 3 BEHIND: This is how much slower you/the rider is behind the fastest rider on that lap. RACE TIME: This is the elapsed time for the race at each point of crossing the finish line. RANK: This is your position in the race on that lap BEHIND: This is how far you/the rider is behind the race leader at that point of the race. For anyone who has not looked at their overall position in the series after 4 rounds you can see all the results in one place.
