New to the Series

Entries close on the wednesday before each round, you can not enter after this date, there is no entry on the day.
Race day information will be sent out via email on either friday night or saturday morning.
Pick up your number board on the first event you ride, you do not need to sign-on again for later rounds
Your number board will last the entire series
You will also be supplied a helmet tag, you need to have both the number board and helmet tag on your bike before entering the course for a warm-up lap
If you lose either the helmet tag or number board you will need to pay for a replacement (£5)
You can not change categories mid season, if you feel you are in the wrong category or we think you are too fast for the category we will move you.

You will get a chance to ride the course at predefined times, U7/9/12 before the start of their races, Women/Youth/Juvenile before their races and the men all categroies only before the mens Elite/L1.
You will be called to the start for each category (normally at the bottom of the hill).
You will be sent your grid position with your race instruction via email, the grid are clearly marked, find your position and wait for the race briefing
your number baord and helmet tag have RFID chips on them, so please do not hang around the finish area or pass back through it as you will be picked up again.
The race is normally started with a horn
You will continue to race until you hear the bell which indicates your last lap
Every rider will finish when they see the checkered flag, some riders will not hear the bell if lapped on the last lap.
Prizes are awarded on series positions at the final round and are not awarded for each individual round.

A map of the course will be made for each round of the series and will be part of the rider information pack provided, there will also be one on the signing on desk
On the map you will notice different icons

White number in a black circle: This indicates either marshal points or poits of refference, these are designed to help marshals find their position and/or to allow riders to direct medical or marshals to incidents
Yellow triangle with rider jumping over a gap: This indicates a small drop or jump
Yellow triangle with 2 black down arrows: This is a warning that there is a hazard or feature coming up, these will also be marked with banners on the course
A and B: There are 2 line choices, whenver you see this the A line will always be the more technical option and will have features or obstacles that you need to take into account when riding it. The B line will always be ridable and althought slightly slower will be much easier.

The carpark is quite small, please car share if you can and listen to the marshals for guidance when parking
The woods are on private land, please do not ride there at any other time of the year.
There will be hot and cold food on site
Toilets are available on site.
There is no drinking water or showers
Medical personnel and cover will be at all round all day.
U7/9/12 riders only need to enter for 1 round and buy the number board for £5 and they will be entered for the entire series for free.
