Update 30/06/20 - All of the 2020 races have been postponed until 2021, I currently have no plans to run any events this year (2020), All race entries will be transferred to next years series, if you would prefer a refund please email info@traversbikes.com
Update 01/05/20 - I have changed the dates of all the races to 1 year in advance (2021). This isn't because I have picked new dates but to stop the races disappearing from the system as and when the event dates come up.
I will update everyone as and when new dates have been decided. Realistically the series wont happen this year but it might be possible to run one off individual event later in the year.
Updated! I will suspend entries for both the Club Champs and Series today. The reason for this is to limit my liability. I will reevaluate the situation either when the government gives us more information or closer to the start date depending on developments.
Its now clear that the series cant go ahead with the first 4 events coming within the 12 week quarantine period for the most vulnerable people. Amanda my girlfriend falls into this category, so I cant chance bringing the virus home.
If things do get better for later in the season I will re-valuate the final 2 round.

2020 Rules and Entry Details
The Travers MTB Series will no longer be held under British Cycling Rules and Regulations, this frees us up to run fairer races where riders can compete against riders of similar ability rather than similar ages. This change also allows us to also makes changes in other areas which will be outlined below.
In 2020 there will be chip timing, the chips are on your Number Board, to make things simple I have added £1 to each entry to pay for them, the same number board will last the ENTIRE Season - If you lose it/Forget it you need to buy another which will be £5
There will be No signing on! You just need to collect your Number Board at the first event you race. You do not need to sign your name at each race.
Pre Entry/On the Day Entry: Entry price will increase by £5 from Midnight on the Wednesday before the event. You can enter online up until 30 mins before your race begins, you will be sent an email with your Number Board information which you can collect from the Travers Bikes Gazebo.

It was a little complicated to add the Number Board Fee to the free entry...so I have added a entry fee of £5 to round 6 (the final round) and all of other rounds are free, so no matter when you enter the series you will pay for round 6 and this will cover your number board. You will automatically be entered for all 6 rounds.

If you didn't do the series you can choose your own category, be realistic, if your race result is too different to the people in the same League you will be reallocated up or down.
At the end of the Series the winner plus the next top 5 riders will be promoted, the bottom 6 riders will be demoted. Your best 4 results count (Out of 6)
You will be gridded in your leagues, Elite, then League 1 and finally League 2. Each League will start a 1 minute intervals.

FAQ
Prizes: There will be no individual prizes for each round, instead a 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the overall at the end of the series in both male and female classes. Prizes to be confirmed.

After the presentation of the overall prizes at round 6 (final round) we traditionally do a prize draw, and anyone who has entered the series, raced at the last round, marshaled, helped out or officiated will automatically be entered.
