How the races will run
Trying something newThis is new to most people, and although not exactly mirroring the UCI short course format, we have tried to offer something similar that will still give you plenty of track time. Why are we doing it? It's nice to vary things, to give different styles of riders a chance, maybe your fitness isn't quite where you want it to be, and you can't run at the front for an hour, but you can for 15 mins. Whats the course like? The course is the flattest of the year but has a nice mix of open wide sections to over stake and wooded trails. We have made the course pretty much wide enough to ride 2 abreast all the way round. This is to encourage overtaking and close racing all the way around; you can't relax! Cut us some slackWe have done our best to estimate the race day, with flying laps, etc, to work out lap length, but this could all change with the weather. We will do our best to keep to this; this is something new to all of us. Come along, enjoy the day, let's make this another fun event.
