Several riders have changed categories since Round 1 — some by choice and others at our suggestion — due to fitness, injury, or simply because they were new to the series and unfamiliar with the level of competition in each category.
If anyone else would like to change categories this season, this is your final opportunity to do so.

Change of Venue – Round 5
Round 5 has been relocated from Garon Park to Gallows Green, Lindsell, near Great Dunmow. Unfortunately, despite several meetings over the past few months, Garon Park has not followed through on the work they agreed to in order to build the course, and none of the deadlines were met. I’m still working with the local club, Southend Wheelers, with the hope of eventually creating a track there for youth coaching. In the meantime, thanks to Stuart from Flitch Bikes, we’ve secured a fantastic new venue at Gallows Green. The course is already planned out, with much of it strimmed and ready to ride. The website has been updated with the new details. There’s still quite a bit to reorganise – medical cover, toilet hire, insurance, food van, etc. If you’ve entered Round 5 as part of the “Pick and Mix” and can no longer attend due to the venue change, please get in touch at [email protected]. The new course will still run in the Short Track XCC format. We’re finalising the schedule based on lap length, but you can expect three races per rider, around 15 minutes each, with all riders in your category racing together. The course features a great mix of open grassland and two wooded sections – it’s shaping up to be a brilliant round! This is the rider info pack for round 1 of the MTB east League. You will also recieve this on email along with the gridding. The race day scheduel will remain the same across 9 of the 10 rounds. The only slight difference will be the Garon Park short track race. (U7, 9, 12) will be the same at all 10 races. Your browser does not support viewing this document. Click here to download the document. A number of people have had issues entering their date of birth in the entry system. You do not need to click the arrow. If you click on the year you can just scroll through all the dates.
