MTB east Round 2 Under 9 race, Potash woods. Betteshanger Camping information:
Update!!! Last minute change, the country park are now saying we need to have security and lighting on site for the camping. It would have been nice if they had told us this before, which means we can no longer offer the camping but..... email [email protected] with a screenshot of your race entry and camping is free. Next door to the bike park is https://www.cottingtonlakes.co.uk/. I have checked and they have lots of space available, a cafe, and on-site toilets and showers are open all night. Facilities: Toilets and Food/drink in the visitor centre Facilities: Toilets and Food/drink in visitor centre Thanks to Toby at E-Flow Cycles and VC Deal for all their help preparing the course; it is looking amazing.
Entries close midnight Wednesday for round 3 at Betteshanger.
If you would like to camp, please message or email me. It's free, we just need to have an idea of numbers. There will be toilets/showers and a restaurant on site. The gates will be locked overnight (from 17:00), you won't be able to come and go after that time. MTB East Round 2 – Potash: Entry Update Entries are now closed for MTB east Round 2 - Potash, – thanks to everyone who signed up! You should have received an email confirming your entry. If you haven’t seen it, please double-check your inbox (and your spam folder, just in case). Just a reminder: there are no entries on the day of the event. We’re sorting the gridding and start list this evening, so look out for an email later tonight or tomorrow with your Rider Pack and gridding position. Category changes? If you’ve switched categories, you’ll need to collect a new number board at sign-on. Please don’t ride with your old one – it won’t be linked in the system, and we won’t be able to give you a result. Good news – the board is yours to keep! Your browser does not support viewing this document. Click here to download the document. The course is looking great for Round 2! Last night’s bit of rain did a perfect job of settling the dust and making conditions ideal.
Unfortunately, we did have a minor setback — four people on MX bikes came through and damaged some of the signage, snapping stakes and tearing banners as they rode through. If you happen to know who they are, please let us know — we’d really appreciate it. In less than two weeks, we’re heading to our first event away from Potash Woods — MTB east Round 3 - Betteshanger Kent If you haven’t been to Betteshanger Bike Park before, you’re in for a treat. It’s a fantastic course with a great mix of fast, open grass sections and tight, twisty woodland trails — plus two A and B line options to keep things exciting. To give you a taste of what’s in store, Kevin Darragh (your friendly MTB East Comms) and I put together a video preview. Please note, it’s not the final race route, as that hadn’t been confirmed at the time — and there was a CX race happening too! This round is a joint effort between. E-Flow Cycles and MTBeast, so be sure to check out E-Flow’s shop when you visit — it’s right there at Betteshanger Park |
