We have added a new section to our website for used frames. It a place to pick up a bargain!
The frames are normally either ones used my our race team or built up for customers to test ride. The frames are all cleaned and fully checked over before they are available for sale and because they are titanium after a quick clean they look box fresh! All of the frames come with the usual Travers Bikes lifetime warranty.
Travers Bikes.com is proud to be supporting Team 29er, look out for the Rudy 29er titanium frame hitting the trails of Poland. Good luck with the upcoming season!
After 2000km, a bit of a clean and lube and it looks as good as new!
Angus Edmond the current World Single Speed Champion has just received his "Angus" 29+, he will be using this at the Single Speed European Championships 2014 in Northern Ireland and at the World Championships in Alaska to defend his title.
The titanium frame comes with a custom "Travers Bikes" Eccentric Bottom Bracket and features a tapered headtube and plate chainstays which give extra mud clearance for the massive 29+ 3" tyres.
The photo was taken in the workshop of the 29ershop in Denmark.
Travers Bikes wishes all the competitors at the Single Speed European Championships a great race...but mainly Angus...come Angus! ;-)
I completed my first proper endurance ride on the road elite yesterday with a 200km jolly. It involved a 24km trip to and from the Essex Road "Spring Lambs" 160km sportive.
The Road Elite performed impeccably, I know sportives are not a race! but I rolled in 15th place out of over 700 other riders and still felt good at the end.
Conditions were quite changeable with extremely slippery road and where others were sliding off and picking up punctures the Road Elite didn't miss a beat.
Anyone that has owned a titanium frame will tell you of the almost mystical powers of the of the material to insulate you from the road and the Road Elite is no exception. Although my legs were starting to feel a bit tired towards the end my shoulders and back did not ache at all.
I must thank the Essex Road cycling club for putting on a great event and the Marshals for standing out in the rain.
